10 Cocktail Drinks for the Thanksgiving Holiday Season

The holiday season is clearly right around the corner once again. Now I don’t know about many of you but somehow I get left in charge of holding the yearly thanksgiving dinners. Which can be very fun and very hectic. From finding the perfect main course,dessert and appetizer recipies I also have to come up with the perfect cocktail drinks that will go perfectly with the meal. In the begainning I would just have random drinks for the adults but realized it took away from the spirit of the holiday and so I searched around and found some fabulous drinks that have thanksgiving written all over it.Remember you can always minus the “poison” so the underage can drink also.

1.Cranberry Spice
– 1/8 fresh orange
– 1 1/2 oz Cranberry Spice Vodka Infusion
– 1/2 oz Cointreau
– 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
– 1/2 oz simple syrup
– Garnish: Spiced Sugar rim
– 1 fresh or frozen cranberry
Rim a chilled cocktail glass with Spiced Sugar and set aside. Squeeze orange wedge into cocktail shaker and drop in. Fill with ice. Add vodka, Cointreau, juice, and simple syrup. Cap mixer glass and shake. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish and serve

2.Gobble-tini – 1 1/2 oz Smirnoff cranberry twist vodka
– 1/4 oz Chambord
– 1/2 oz cranberry juice
– 1 tsp lemon juice
Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with 3 cranberries on stick.

3.Pumpkin Vanilla Pie
– 2 parts Absolut Vanila vodka
– 1 part pumpkin schnapps
– Splash of cream
– Sprinkle with nutmeg
Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. And strain into a martini glass. Garnish with nutmeg and cherry.

4.Cran-Apple Cobbler
– 1 1/2 oz Smirnoff cranberry twist
– 1 tsp lemon juice
– 4 oz apple cider
– 1 oz cranberry juice
Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass rimmed with crushed graham cracker. Garnish with apple slice.

5.Thanksgiving Cocktail
-1 oz dry vermouth-3/4 oz gin
-3/4 oz apricot brandy
-1/2 tsp creme de cassis
-1/2 tsp lemon juice
Pour the vermouth, gin, apricot brandy, creme de cassis and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

6.Pumpkin Martini
-1/2 oz Sylk Cream Liqueur
-2 oz vanilla vodka
-1/2 oz pumpkin liqueur or pumpkin spice syrup
-1 tsp whipped cream
-cinnamon stick for garnish
Pour the Sylk Liquer and vodka into a shaker filled with ice. Add the pumpkin liquer or syrup, and shake again. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top it with a tsp of whipped cream and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

7.Ginger Honey Rummy
-2 parts Cruzan Single Barrel Estate Rum
-1 part honey syrup
-3/4 part fresh lemon juice
-3 slices fresh ginger
In a shaker, muddle ginger and honey syrup. Add remaining ingredients and shake, and strain over ice into a rocks glass. Serve garnished with a lemon slice and a piece of crystallized ginger

8.Tennessee Cobbler
-1.35 oz. George Dickel
-1 tsp. lemon juice
-1 tsp. grapefruit juice
-1.5 tsp. almond extract
Combine all ingredients in an ice filled glass and stir well. Serve garnished with an orange slice.

9.Gingersnap martini
-1 oz Kahlua
-1 oz Bailey’s irish cream
-1 oz Frangelico
-1 oz Jägermeister
-Fill with Cola
Shake Kahlua, Bailey’s irish cream, Frangelico, and Jägermeister in ice-filled shaker, and strain contents into ice-filled highball glass. Fill with cola.

10.Vanilla Vixen
-1 oz SKYY Vanilla vodka
-2 oz SKYY Citrus vodka
-1 oz Midori melon liqueur
-1/2 oz lime juice
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
